Blank MS Word Document (did not save)

When MS Word changes are not saved, it is usually one of the following reasons:

1.  The user edited the document in read mode.

If this happened, the document can be found in the user's "Downloads" folder.

2.  The user click "Save-As" in MS Word, and saved the changes to a different location.

If this happened,  the file can be found wherever the file was saved.  Try searching for the file within Windows start button.

3.   The user did not click save within extendedReach.

The file can be found in the "Previous Versions" section in extendedReach

4.  The user's lost internet access before uploading the report back to extendedReach.

The file can be found in the users "My Documents\extendedReach" folder, or "%TEMP%\extendedReaach"

The only known problem with the plugin is if your agency is redirecting your staff's Documents folders to a network drive.  If that is occuring, you need to change you user settings to use the "System Temporary" folder, here:

If your staff ever think they have lost changes, please have then use the Help -> Contact Support menu option to contact us.  Using the above information, we are almost always able to recover files.

If you think something else is occuring, you can use this link to schedule a GotoMeeting with me, so I can watch what is occurring and troubleshoot.
